Annie’s Place offers full care pasture board, grass hay for sale, horses for lease, and horsemanship lessons. The farm also sponsors a local equestrian group, Adult Riding Club of WNC, that meets on the third Sunday of each month. Meetings often include an informative demonstration by a local purveyor. Visit their page to learn more!
Some conveniences of our boarding program include up to twice daily feeding, quarterly deworming, hay as appropriate, application of blankets/fly masks (if provided by the owner), and trailer storage. We are only about 20 minutes to the main gates of Biltmore, the entrance of Cataloochee Valley, and Bent Creek. Each field is creek fed, high tensile. We keep herds of 204 horses in a field and rotate every 60-90 days to allow fields a chance to rest. We also offer a dry lot for horses that can’t be on turn out 24/7.
Annie’s Place is a great place to learn about horsemanship. Horsemanship is so much more than just riding. It is about learning how to communicate with a horse in a respectful and responsible manner. It is about making choices to obtain a desired outcome. It is caring for your tack, for your property, for your horse, and for yourself. Horses have so much to offer—come visit Annie’s Place and let their instructors teach you all about horsemanship!
